KEMANKEŞ KARA MUSTAFA PAŞA ÇEŞMESİ

Karaköy’de Kemankeş Kara Mustafa Paşa Camii avlusundaki sıbyan mektebinin ön cephe duvarını kaplayan çeşme, 1732 tarihlidir. Çok estetik olan bu yapı, sıbyan mektebiyle birlikte Reisülküttab İsmail Efendi tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Yanlarında iki nişi bulunan dikdörtgen çerçeveli çeşmenin yüzeyi; çiçek ve yaprak motifleri, kase içinde meyve kabartmaları, bitkisel kıvrımlar ve güneş formuyla süslenmiştir. Sağ tarafındaki niş üzerindeyse iki ayrı yerde kuş evleri bulunuyor.

The fountain covering the front wall of the plastered school in the courtyard of the Kemankeş Kara Mustafa Pasha Mosque in Karaköy is dated to 1732. This structure, which is very aesthetic, was built by Reisülküttab İsmail Efendi together with the secondary school. The surface of the fountain with a rectangular frame with two niches on the sides; flower and leaf motifs are decorated with fruit reliefs, herbal folds and the sun form in the bowl. There are bird houses in two different places on the niche on the right side.
