Mülteciler Gerestried şehrinde kapalı bir mekanda toplu halde kalıyorlardı ve dışarı çıkamıyorlardı. Buranın yerel halkıyla kaynaşabilecekeleri mekanlar yoktu. Bu yapının amacı mülteciler ile yerek halkın bir araya gelmesine yardımcı olmaktı. Açık, kapalı ve yarı açık mekanlar tasarlandı. Güneş ışığından faydalanmak için cephede çoğunlukla cam kullanıldı.

Refugees were living in a closes area in Gerestried and there was no way that they could go out, communicate with local people. It is aimed to design to create open, semi-open and closes spaces which gice opportunity refugees to get in touch with local people. On the facade, glass is used to get natural sunlight to inside.
